Supporting Women in Need

07.03.2026 2mins | News

Protecting women in vulnerable situations is a priority for the AXA Foundation for Human Progress. Through strategic partnerships, we strengthen the actions of those defending women's rights on the ground and providing long-term support to women who are victims of violence.

Supporting Women’s Access to Justice

The AXA Foundation for Human Progress provides financial support to the Elle’s Angels program, carried out with Juridica and AXA Hearts in Action, to help women affected by violence take legal action against their abusers. By removing the financial barriers to legal proceedings, this initiative enables women to exercise their rights and access a safer pathway toward protection and recovery. We have also established the Kids Angels fund, dedicated to covering legal costs for children who are victims of violence, ensuring they too can access justice too.

Empowering Those Who Defend Women’s Rights

We support the Fondation des Femmes, a leading organization for women’s rights, that raises public awareness, fosters debate on gender equality, and highlights issues such as violence, precarious living conditions, and health by supporting nearly 650 community projects.

By supporting its feminist hub, La Cité Audacieuse in Paris, we help create a physical space bringing together associations initiatives and training programs dedicated to women’s rights.

Through the Myriade program led by the Fondation des Femmes, we also contribute to a strategic and financial support scheme that amplifies the impact of 14 organizations committed to combating violence and advancing equality.

Supporting Women in their Access to Justice

AXA entity Juridica runs initiatives that help AXA Foundation’s partner associations in defending the rights of women through legal, psychological, and financial support, as well as temporary housing solutions.

Through the Elle’s Angels program, carried out jointly with Juridica and AXA Hearts in Action, we help women affected by domestic violence take legal action against their abusers by removing the barrier of the cost of legal proceedings, enabling women to exercise their rights and begin a safer pathway toward protection and recovery.
