Nature
Human health, community prosperity and the integrity of key ecosystems are inseparable foundations for human progress.
Protecting the Living World for a Viable Future

Alongside committed partners and local communities, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress develops co-created projects on agricultural & forestry transitions, water & oceans, urban–nature relationships, and terrestrial & marine protected areas. These initiatives aim to combat biodiversity loss and protect soil health and water resources, while promoting healthy and resilient food systems, supported by innovative financial mechanisms to sustain the ecological transition over the long term.
Spreading a Culture of Prevention
We believe young people have a role to play in this transition, and by offering concrete frameworks for engagement based on experimentation, transmission and collective action, the Foundation helps build a shared culture of prevention.
A Systemic Commitment to Nature
Reconciling people and the living world is not a slogan. Protecting key ecosystems means protecting the communities that depend on them: soil quality determines water resources, forests regulate water cycles, and the ocean - the ultimate receptacle - reflects the overall state of health.
Every project supported by the AXA Foundation for Human Progress contributes to a chain of interventions - from science to citizens, from local to global - showing that it is possible to repair, to prevent and to prepare for the future, together.
