The French Foundations Fondation Entreprendre and Fondation Ceetrus, and the AXA Foundation for Human Progress have launched a joint call for contributions to support 150 entrepreneurial projects in France focusing on climate change adaptation. Four public-interest nonprofits (eligible for corporate philanthropy in France) will be selected to receive €250,000 each over a three-year period to support these entrepreneurial projects in the field, identify best practices, and disseminate them widely. The winning organizations will be announced on December 4, 2026.
A Key Priority: Regional Resilience
As climate change already disrupts daily life and weakens local economies, adaptation has become an absolute necessity. We believe that local entrepreneurship is a powerful driver for resilience, delivering agile, concrete, and socially driven solutions in highly vulnerable sectors, such as forestry, agriculture, fisheries, food, housing, local urban planning, mobility, tourism, and resource/waste management.
A Collective Approach to Amplifying Impact
We foster connections among experts because we believe in cross-sector approaches based on partnerships and collective action. By joining forces with other committed stakeholders, we can amplify our long-term impact.
The four winners will join“Réponse collective” (Collective Response), a unique collaborative ecosystem developed by the Fondation Entreprendre. This network brings together philanthropic backers, public actors, and experts (R&D, impact assessment…). Over the course of three years, we will collaborate to:
develop support mechanisms for entrepreneurs;
test and sustain solutions on the ground;
capitalize on lessons learned and share best practices;
carry out advocacy actions.
